Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Abdelaziz Qansowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held a meeting to discuss a comprehensive strategy for training medical personnel. This meeting comes in line with the directives of the political leadership to advance the healthcare system and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.

This strategy represents the outcome of close and joint cooperation between the Ministries of Health and Higher Education, with strong support and close follow-up from the House of Representatives. It aims to unify national efforts to enhance the efficiency of medical personnel and provide a sustainable training environment aligned with the latest global healthcare standards.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized that this strategy marks a qualitative leap in the path of continuing medical education in Egypt, noting that investing in human capital is the cornerstone of the success and development of any healthcare system.

He explained that the new strategy includes advanced training programs covering physicians, nursing staff, and technicians. It is based on digital transformation and hands-on, on-the-job training, ensuring that medical teams are fully prepared to address various challenges and meet the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.

The Minister of Health and Population affirmed that training and qualifying medical personnel reflects the State’s firm commitment to providing a safe and motivating work environment, as well as a clear career path for professionals in the medical field. This approach ensures the sustainability of delivering safe, high-quality healthcare services to citizens across all governorates, in line with the goals of presidential initiatives to improve public health.

In his remarks, Dr. Abdelaziz Qansoua affirmed the Ministry’s continued efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services and medical education, as well as to develop the university hospitals system, thereby improving the level of healthcare provided to citizens, while also supporting medical education pathways and scientific research. Dr. Qansoua also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and integration between university hospitals and Ministry of Health hospitals as a strategic direction aimed at maximizing the use of available resources, improving healthcare quality, enhancing operational efficiency in healthcare facilities, and benefiting from academic and scientific expertise.
