In light of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s statement regarding expected unstable weather conditions on Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, 2026, Dr. Abdelaziz Qansowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, directed all university hospitals to raise their level of preparedness to the highest degree and to take all necessary precautionary measures to ensure readiness to handle any emergencies.
Dr. Qansowa also stressed the importance of continuous coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population and all relevant authorities to ensure integrated efforts and rapid response to any emergency situations, with round-the-clock monitoring through operations rooms at university hospitals, linked to the Ministry’s central operations room.
In the same context, the Minister directed the follow-up on the readiness of medical teams and the availability of on-duty staff, emphasizing full compliance with all safety procedures to ensure the safety of patients and visitors to the hospitals.
